1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle 4 of 10 | Nikki

This blog post “1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle 4 of 10 | Nikki” is about a puzzle from a photoshoot with my friend Nikki. This is the fourth puzzle in the Puzzle Series. I decided to post a blog post for each 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle as there is just too much to see in the whole set to just glance at each one briefly. So, do give it a read to this amazing one!

So, how is this puzzle being different from the previous three in this series?

Well, the major difference is that it's the first one without a white background, which for me made it a bit easier to complete. But that doesn’t mean I’m out of the clear with the white backdrop puzzles, I still have 3 more of those to go... urgh.

Moving ahead, here are the strategies I used for this one:

  • It's different from the other puzzles I've done because in the previous ones I was required to remove all the white pieces because the entire background was white, which proved to be difficult. There are a few more of those to go through, but this will be a different process.
  • This time, I don't have a bunch of white pieces to pull out. This puzzle mainly had reds, blacks, and dark tones.
  • Since this one is a little different, I decided to finish the border first. I started pulling all those pieces apart and then placed them on my trays.
  • I started separating out the reds with the dark colors on separate trays.
  • After I separated the colors, I separated them according to the style of the puzzle pieces.
  • I made the border pieces red to make them easier to see.
  • Then I separated all my border pieces to one side for a little while, and I used red, dark colors here, and then I used my blue tray.
  • I then separated all the photos where I could tell it was Nikki.

The whole process took me four evenings or four nights, I suppose. It felt so good about getting down to the last few pieces and putting that last piece together. It's so satisfying to see the final output.

Basically, Jigsaw puzzles are easiest to complete if you follow a certain order, stay organized, and look for patterns. So, keep practicing and you’ll get the hang of it in no time!

I also think this might be the fastest puzzle I've ever done. Check out the “1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle 4 of 10 | Nikki” video by clicking on the link. So far, I hope you've enjoyed the videos from this series. Be sure to check out all of them.
