Reviewing A Laurence King Jigsaw Puzzle | Pop Art

So excited to share yet another amazing puzzle with you guys. Today I’ll be reviewing a Laurence King jigsaw puzzle titled Pop Art.

(Fun fact: They don't just make puzzles; they also make books, games, and even a few educational items.)

But I’m pretty excited about this one for a couple of reasons:

This one was created by a man named Andrew Ray. So, what Andrew has basically done is, he has taken a lot of the famous iconic pieces of art over the years from people like Dolly, Warhol, and other big names. He's taken them all and either incorporated some of their famous works of art or the artists themselves into this. So, this puzzle is basically a collage of all these different things, which is really cool.

I found this puzzle to be really cool so I was pretty excited to be doing this one!

The box itself is really nice quality. This is a Jigsaw Puzzle with 1000 pieces. They’ve also provided a poster. The poster seemed to be a pretty good-sized poster.

Great quality puzzle pieces:

  • There was almost no puzzle dust in the bag which I highly appreciate.
  • Moreover, the print on the piece is very nice. It's a little glossier, not a high gloss, but a smooth finish and the thickness of the pieces appear to be a little thicker than some of the others I've done recently.
  • Furthermore, there were no pieces that were still assembled, which I appreciated because I dislike having to sit and disassemble the entire puzzle in order to put it back together. Additionally, it has a cool print on it that I was really excited to do.
  • Overall, Lawrence Publishing is of great quality.

Strategy-wise, this one was a bit more difficult.

I started putting all the side pieces off to the corner. Moreover, there were a lot of little faces and little specific details in this one which made it quite challenging but as long as it’s an interesting enough puzzle it doesn’t matter. Right!?

So, I tried to separate things out by faces thinking that it might help me out. But the faces were so small that they’re just like one face on one piece so I set all those aside so it really didn’t help me that much to have an edge up on anything. Therefore, I just tried to separate it out by some of the bigger ones, such as the elephant and shark pieces (as I was able to identify those pieces better).

Every single piece was basically shaped differently, resulting in a lot of variation in the puzzle itself. So, yeah, I just jumped right into separating all of these pieces. To do so, I lined up four different trays.

This puzzle was a really fun puzzle to do!

The print's detail, as well as the overall concept of the puzzle, is simply fantastic. This was a fun one to finish because it has all these different characters, artists, and art pieces that you can find. So must say this is a great puzzle of great quality!

I would highly recommend and suggest buying one of these if you haven't tried them before. So if you enjoy a puzzle from a great manufacturer with high-quality pieces and appealing artwork, take a look at this “Laurence King Publishing Pop Art Puzzle".
