Another blog, another puzzle!
Well, this one is from Newverest and this is the National Parks Puzzle of a thousand pieces. This time I chose “The National Parks puzzle” since it fits in with what I want to do, which is explore National Parks. So, I was really excited about this one!
I appreciate this puzzle for a couple of reasons:
- They are made of 100% recycled materials.
- It includes all the different states and national parks.
- The puzzle was painted by several different artists, so it's a thousand-piece puzzle, which I generally do, and its dimensions are roughly 27 inches, so it's pretty close to what I usually do.
So now coming to the quality of the puzzle:
- The puzzle comes packaged in a pool drawer box. Isn't that cool?
- The box itself is pretty firm cardboard and it's of good quality, with a nice print on the front that is offset to the side.
- And there's a poster at the bottom.
- It's not the biggest reference poster but it's good enough for me I can make it work.
As soon as I opened the bag, there was not much puzzle dust, which I really appreciated.
Quality of the pieces:
- The puzzle pieces are of excellent quality. It appears to be more on the white or slightly off-white side.
- There were only a few pieces that were connected, which is fine because it's not like it's the entire puzzle. However, I don't like it when the entire puzzle is still pieced together because then it just makes me sit there and disassemble the entire thing to reassemble it.
- It was nice to see that the pieces were locked solidly.
Strategy for this puzzle:
- So, I began by assembling the pieces. I began by putting all of the side or edge pieces to the side.
- If you watched my video of the “Lawrence King puzzle”, you'll notice that I separated out the sky pieces and then just put the rest of the pieces over a series of like six trays because there wasn't anything definitive outside of the sky that would allow me to break it up and separate it more.
- Similarly, I used the same strategy with this one. So, I took all of the pieces and placed them on the trays, regardless of color, and this one has a few different styles of pieces.
- So, I started separating them into different shapes.
I found this one more challenging than I expected it to be, not because of the quality of the puzzle or anything like that, but mostly just because each state has its own artwork, and when you look at the pieces in that artwork compared to what's on this little thing.
The fascinating part about it is that it can take a little bit to figure it out because a lot of them have similar artwork, so it can be challenging, but a lot of fun.
Now that I've completed this puzzle, I am feeling very satisfied. I am quite pleased with the final result. So, don’t forget to check out this cool 1000-piece Newverest Jigsaw Puzzle | National Parks.
