Back in 2018, I embarked on my second cruise with Carnival Cruise Lines. One of the most memorable destinations on this trip was Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Honduras—a charming port with serene beaches, vibrant shops, and crystal-clear waters. It was the final stop on our itinerary, and by the time we arrived, we were ready for a laid-back day.
We kept things simple: a relaxing beach day, some light snorkeling, and a leisurely exploration of the port. Despite Mahogany Bay being a smaller port, its charm lies in its accessibility and unique experiences. One standout feature? The hanging chairlift, which offers a scenic ride to the beach—reminiscent of a ski lift, but with breathtaking tropical views.
